California's Department of Workers' Compensation has recently updated the pamphlet for new hires effective July 1, 2014. The language contained within the new pamphlets now conforms with the recently enacted regulations. These forms must be given to **new hires** (not existing employees) no later than the end of their very first pay period.
Failure to provide the pamphlet can result in loss of employer medical control, civil penalties of up to $7,000 for each violation of the posting requirement, and a tolling of the statute of limitations for filing a claim.
