If you are like most of us here at Kessler Alair Insurance you work hard to play hard.  For many of us filling our weekends with fun family activities is first priority when we clock out on Friday evening. Memorial Day in May is often the starting gate for summer for many families. Looking for fun things to do as the days are longer and warmer is made easier with our research.  Having our offices located in Newport Beach, Rancho Cucamonga and Upland California gives us a wide variety of events to choose from.  Of course one of the best things about Southern California is the fact that you can go snowboarding in the morning and sit on the beach to watch the sunset all in the same day.

What to do in the Inland Empire?

May 2 & 3 - Inland Pacific Ballet's Beauty and the Beast. This performance is Inland Pacific Ballet's newest original ballet creatively adapted adventure filled stories. May 3 - Claremont's Farmer's Market - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm at Second St. and Yale Avenue. The Claremont Farmer's and Artisan's Market is a weekly market organized by the Claremont Forum. May 9 - PVW's Annual Fun Run/Walk for Adults with Disabilities - In memory of Sandi Spetnagel, 7:00 am to 11:00 am at 1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona. Celebrate Mother's Day with the family at PVW's Annual Fun Run/Walk. The event includes a 1K at 8:00 am and 5K at 8:45 am as well as a Pancake Breakfast from 7-11 am. May 30 - 32nd Annual Folk Music Festival at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden in Claremont. We are a non-profit organization promoting folk music, art and culture in the Los Angeles and surrounding area. Our festival offers music and art workshops for all ages and activities for kids. Workshops include: Guitar, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, dulcimer, harp, fiddle, percussion, international folk dance, singing, storytelling and much more. Ongoing Monthly Events in the Upland area:

Talk About Books With Other Readers. Welcome to Book-Enders! We meet the first Saturday of the month, October through June, 10 am to 12 pm. Next one will be May 2nd! Each month we read a common title, along with a list of questions to jump-start our thinking and conversation. Often a guest speaker will expand on the featured book's topic or a related aspect. Preschool Story time - Every Tuesday at 11:15 am and 1:30 pm, March 31st thru May 12th at the Upland Public Library. For children ages three to five. This story time presents children's literature through picture books, flannel board stories, puppets, songs, and simple crafts. The program lasts approximately 45 minutes. Basic Computer Classes - Every Monday, 3:00 pm at The Brodie Room. Not sure how to use a computer? These classes are for you! Learn how to use a computer on one of the LIbrary's Chromebooks. The classes will cover logging on and off, using the keyboard and touchpad, browsing the web using Google Docs, and file saving. You will also learn how to set up a Google Account and Gmail address and write a resume. Have You Seen The Fox? Silver Fox Express Senior Transportation System. The City of Rancho Cucamonga and YMCA have teamed up to provide transportation for Seniors who are residents of Rancho Cucamonga and 60 years and older. This 15 passenger ADA approved van will pick seniors up in the morning, take them to the Senior Center and then return them to their homes in the afternoon. Saturday Fun Roll- Come join us every Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. We meet just north of the Huntington Beach Pier at the amphitheater and skate approximately 16 miles round trip.  The pace is nice and easy and all ages and levels are welcome.  We make several rest stops at various points to let everyone catch up.  If you miss us at the beginning, just skate south on the beach path, we retrace the route back, so we'll eventually meet.  We highly recommend that you wear all protective gear - at least wristguards and a helmet.  Afterwards you can join us for lunch in or around downtown Huntington Beach. http://www.funroll.com/SatRolls/saturdayrolls.htm
